<h3><strong>How you’ll make an impact:</strong></h3>
<p>The Director of Patient Recruitment & Retention (PRR) reports into the Senior Director, Trial Optimization and will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of patient recruitment and retention initiatives across Kymera’s clinical development portfolio in Immunology and Inflammation. This individual will oversee a team of PRR Leads responsible for study-level recruitment and retention delivery while ensuring alignment with enterprise-level enrollment goals and timelines.</p>
<p>This position requires a strategic leader with deep expertise in clinical trial enrollment strategy, site engagement and vendor oversight, capable of partnering cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, and external partners.</p>
<p><strong>Portfolio-Level Recruitment and Retention Strategy</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and oversee global patient recruitment and retention strategies across all clinical programs in Immunology and Inflammation.</li>
<li>Ensure enrollment strategies align with portfolio timelines, program priorities, and corporate development goals.</li>
<li>Develop standardized frameworks, tools, and best practices for recruitment and retention planning across studies.</li>
<li>Provide executive-level oversight of enrollment forecasts, risk mitigation plans, and performance metrics across the portfolio.</li>
<li>Leverage and implement cross-program efficiencies including shared patient communities and digital outreach strategies.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Study-Level Recruitment and Retention Execution Oversight</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and manage a team of Patient Recruitment & Retention Leads (PRR Leads) assigned to individual clinical studies.</li>
<li>Ensure PRR Leads develop and implement data-driven recruitment plans, including patient outreach campaigns and retention initiatives.</li>
<li>Proactively identify risks to enrollment timelines, implementing mitigation strategies where necessary.</li>
<li>Provide strategic guidance on site engagement, patient funnel optimization, and recruitment vendor performance.</li>
<li>Support global study teams with realistic enrollment projections and recruitment feasibility assessments.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Patient Insights & Protocol Optimization</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead organizational efforts to integrate the patient voice into clinical trial design and conduct.</li>
<li>In partnership with Medical Affairs, establish and implement defined processes to gather patient and caregiver insights through advisory boards, surveys, advocacy groups, and qualitative research to support operational trial planning.</li>
<li>Partner with Clinical Development and Study Operations to translate insights into protocol design improvements that reduce patient burden and improve participation.</li>
<li>Contribute to the development of patient-centric trial models, including decentralized elements where appropriate.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>External Partnerships & Vendor Oversight</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Oversee program-level performance of patient recruitment vendors and digital outreach agencies.</li>
<li>Evaluate emerging recruitment technologies and innovative enrollment approaches.</li>
<li>Ensure recruitment strategies are integrated into study planning, protocol development, and operational execution.</li>
<li>Communicate enrollment progress and risks to senior leadership and program teams.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Team Leadership</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of PRR Leads responsible for study-level recruitment delivery.</li>
<li>Establish clear performance metrics and development plans for team members.</li>
<li>Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and patient-centricity.</li>

<h3><strong>Skills and experience you’ll bring:</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Required</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>10+ years of experience in clinical trial patient recruitment and retention, patient engagement, and/or clinical operations.</li>
<li>Demonstrated success leading patient recruitment strategies for global clinical trials. (preferably in immunology and inflammation indications)</li>
<li>Experience implementing successful recruitment strategies, leveraging digital outreach, real-world data sources, and/or decentralized trial approaches.</li>
<li>Experience managing cross-study enrollment planning in biotech or pharmaceutical organizations.</li>
<li>Proven leadership experience managing teams responsible for recruitment execution.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of site engagement best practices and patient journey mapping.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in Immunology and Inflammation clinical trials.</li>
<li>Experience incorporating patient insights into protocol design.</li>
<li>Experience co-collaborating with Medical Affairs and Clinical Development teams on patient engagement efforts.</li>

<ul>
<li>Kymera offers a competitive compensation package that recognizes both results and capabilities through market-based, performance-driven pay.</li>
<li>The anticipated base salary range for this role is $195,000 – $275,000, with eligibility for annual bonus, equity participation, and comprehensive benefits.</li>
<li>Actual salary is based on a holistic evaluation of the specific role/level as well as each candidate’s depth of experience and the capabilities they bring to the position.</li>
